Muhammed KhalafAllah, Head of the New Damietta City Authority, has overseen the commencement of development works aimed at enhancing infrastructure, including roads, civil defense buildings, perimeter walls, and agriculture, within the expansive 190-acre public industrial free zone along the Mediterranean coast in New Damietta, east of the port, Invest-Gate reports,
KhalafAllah highlighted the ongoing construction of the separation wall spanning 2,100 meters between the free zone and Damietta Port, alongside the rehabilitation of internal roads and the civil defense structure.
Emphasizing the need for swift and high-quality execution, KhalafAllah directed the supervising entity and executing company to adhere strictly to project timelines. He underscored the industrial free zone’s pivotal role as an investment hub, catering to diverse economic entities and reflecting investor interest while aiming to clear waiting lists for the zone.
Furthermore, KhalafAllah reported the completion of the boundary road between the Sixth District’s center and the Dar Misr Phase II project, marking a milestone in ongoing efforts to finalize city roadworks.
He added that sidewalk efficiency has improved, lighting poles were installed, electricity had been supplied to the poles, and asphalt was repaired along the city’s main thoroughfare. This ongoing development aligns with city-wide enhancement plans, particularly in road infrastructure, focusing on traffic flow, route adherence, and aesthetic urban development within New Damietta City.
