Housing Ministry Officials Inspect Infrastructure Projects in New Damietta City

Ashraf Fathi Mahmoud, Assistant to the Deputy Head of the Authority for the Development and Urban Crisis Management Sector, has conducted an inspection visit to review infrastructure projects in New Damietta City; Mohamed Khalaf Allah, Head of the New Damietta City Authority, and other officials attended, Invest-Gate reports.

During the visit, Khalaf Allah presented a detailed overview of the city, its investment plan, and ongoing infrastructure projects. The current status and progress of these projects were discussed.

Housing officials inspected sewage lift stations, with 17 out of 29 already upgraded stations costing EGP 125 mn.

They also visited a sewage treatment plant in the industrial area with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters per day. It is undergoing rehabilitation to increase its capacity to 75,000 cubic meters daily.

The tour also included a drinking water station and intake on the Nile River, which is currently operating at a capacity of 173 cubic meters per day. Upgrades to its electromechanical components are at 73% completion, costing EGP 73 mn.
