Mohamed Ragab, Head of the New Damietta Development Authority, has announced that a specialized workshop for the East Cities Sector 2 (New Damietta, New Mansoura, New Salhiya, New Ismailia, New Port Said, West Port Said) was held, with representatives from these cities attending at the headquarters of the New Mansoura City Authority, Invest-Gate reports.
This workshop is part of preparations for launching a competition to select the best new city from the cities of NUCA for the year 2023/2024.
Ragab indicated that the competition will be organized under the supervision of Waleed Abbas, Assistant Minister of Housing for the Affairs of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), and Accountant Wael Shaaban, Assistant to the Deputy Chairman of NUCA for Financial and Administrative Affairs.
Moreover, the competition theme is “Let’s innovate for happy and sustainable new urban cities,” which is seen as the most important and effective means to foster competition and motivation among city authorities and achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Furthermore, Muhammed KhalafAllah, Head of the New Damietta City Authority, stated that a sports and entertainment day for people with disabilities was organized at the Kaderoun Beach Club in the Narges Beach area of New Damietta.
Also, this event was coordinated between the relevant departments of the authority, the Athletes Association for the Care of the Disabled in New Damietta, and civil society representatives.
Notably, KhalafAllah added that the sports day included competitions in athletics, karate, beach soccer, entertainment activities, and the distribution of prizes to the winners of the sports competitions, amid joy and happiness from the champions and their families.
