RAK Properties announced the launch of a 6 mn square feet mixed-use development, Invest-Gate reports.

Boasting innovative zones, each with its own unique character, Hayat Island is built with over 40,000 square metres of open space and landscaped areas, and 23,925 square meters of adventure playgrounds and playscapes.

The project incorporates two distinctive hotels, one of which will be the five-star InterContinental hotel that will include 351 luxury hotel rooms.
The project will also feature 2,457 apartments comprised of 1,152 one-bedroom units, 985 two-bedroom units and 320 three-bedroom units, in addition to townhouses and villas that complete the array of high-quality residential opportunities on the island.

The island will include garden zones, a 1,200-square-meter Souk mall, various cultural arts, as well as a dining promenade and adventure clubs for children.
