Al Futtaim Real Estate, renowned for its visionary projects like Cairo Festival City, has collaborated with the Egyptian Food Bank to donate, pack, and distribute thousands of food supply boxes to disadvantaged families across Egypt during Ramadan, Invest-Gate reports.

This partnership falls under Cairo Festival City’s social responsibility initiative, ‘Festival Cares’, which aims to establish partnerships to support various societal groups, particularly the most vulnerable, to address economic and social challenges and improve local communities.

For his part, Mohsen Sarhan, CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank, highlighted the organization’s commitment to protecting vulnerable groups by meeting their basic needs through strategic interventions. He emphasized the significance of partnerships with private sector institutions like Al Futtaim, facilitated through Cairo Festival City, to distribute food boxes and support 25,000 families across Egypt during Ramadan.

Furthermore, Heba Abdallah, Head of Marketing at Al Futtaim, commended the collaboration and expressed pride in the joint efforts to enhance the lives of Egyptian citizens. The initiative aligns with their goal of aiding underprivileged families and providing crucial support to alleviate their hardships.

Cairo Festival City and Cairo Festival City Mall have a history of collaborating with NGOs, demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the community. Their annual involvement in initiatives like “Eftar Sa’em” with the Egyptian Food Bank and contributions to organizations such as Dar El Orman and initiatives like Satr w Dafa reflect their dedication to positively impacting society.

Notably, they have sponsored a community school in Fayoum to combat illiteracy and truancy, showcasing their multifaceted approach to social responsibility.
