El Gouna Gears Up for New Edition of Platinum PSA Squash Tournament

El Gouna is gearing up to host the 12th edition of the El Gouna International Squash Open for Men and Women, a Platinum PSA event, from April 19 to 26 at the El Gouna International Conference and Culture Center, Invest-Gate reports.

Ievents organizes the tournament and has managed it since its inception. The championship is sponsored by the Ministries of Youth and Sports, Tourism and Antiquities, and the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, with the Commercial International Bank (CIB) Egypt as the leading supporter of squash in Egypt.

Moreover, the El Gouna International Squash Open for Men and Women is one of the Professional Squash Association’s (PSA) most important Platinum tournaments and one of the top eight squash tournaments worldwide.

Furthermore, the tournament will feature participants from 22 countries engaging in fierce competition among over 96 globally ranked players, vying for significant cash prizes totalling $350,000. The event coincides with squash’s inclusion in the upcoming Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.

Also, last year’s 11th edition of the El Gouna International Squash Open for Men and Women witnessed significant success, with Nouran Gohar and Ali Farag clinching the titles.

El Gouna boasts facilities and services conducive to hosting such international events, with 18 hotels offering outstanding accommodation options, an international hospital providing top-notch medical services ensuring the comfort and safety of players, visitors, and residents, along with numerous entertainment venues and a year-round, ideal climate.

Notably, this year, Carriere, Marina Fenders, sponsors the tournament as the platinum sponsor, BMW as the official car partner, supported by Silver Sponsor CI Capital and On Time Sport as the official media partner, along with Catering 360 as the official catering services sponsor.
