UAE’s developer Emaar Properties revealed an additional contribution of AED 62 mn to Sandooq Al Watan to boost social entrepreneurship, Invest-Gate reports.

Emaar had earlier contributed AED 84 mn, taking its total monetary commitment for the national initiative to AED 146 mn during 2016/17, the developer said in a statement.

Sandooq Al Watan aims to prepare the UAE for the post-oil era by nurturing national talents, promoting social enterprises, and building a sustainable knowledge-based economy.

The fund recently announced the launch of its Future Initiative, which will support innovative ideas and cultivate them to become competitive enterprises.
