Egypt is in talks to accelerate the final tranche of the World Bank’s (WB) loan, Invest-Gate reports.
Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and WB CEO Kristalina Georgieva have discussed the acceleration of signing the bank’s third and final tranche worth USD 1 bn of a- USD 3 bn- loan before the end of 2017, according to a released statement.
Egypt received the first and second tranches valued at USD 1 bn each during the past two years, aiming to support its economic and social program.
On another note, Georgieva welcomed Nasr’s invitation to attend the upcoming “Business for Africa, Egypt, and the World” Conference to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh from December 7 to 9.
