Sherif El Sherbini, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has conducted an inspection to follow-up on the progress of the units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in Badr City, Invest-Gate reports.

He was accompanied by Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing; Amin Ghoneim, Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for the Development and Urban Development Sector; Radwan Abdel Rashid, Head of Badr City Development Authority; officials from NUCA, and members of the Minister’s technical office.

El Sherbini issued directives to address underperforming contractors swiftly, enhance construction rates, bolster the workforce, and expedite interior and exterior finishing as well as site coordination tasks to ensure timely completion and delivery of the units to their intended recipients.

Additionally, he assessed the progress of a youth center in the city’s club district, instructing for its completion within a month for immediate operation to cater to the city’s populace.

During his visit to Badr City, El Sherbini emphasized the necessity for prime roadways to be maintained at optimal standards, stressing daily monitoring of road upkeep, site coordination, agricultural activities, lighting installations, sanitation, waste disposal, installation of signage and directional boards, and prompt removal of encroachments, violations, and illegal occupations such as unauthorized markets, signs, and other infractions.

El Sherbini also emphasized the significance of maintenance, cleanliness, and agricultural upkeep in residential zones, evaluating the performance of operation and maintenance firms, sanctioning negligent entities, and selecting top-tier companies in the sector. He mandated holding individuals accountable for any water leakage stemming from irrigation networks.
