Orascom Construction Awards Scholarships to Egyptian Students for 24th Consecutive Year

Orascom Construction has announced the awarding of full educational scholarships to three Egyptian students through the “Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program,” Invest-Gate reports.

The students will pursue undergraduate degrees at Stanford University and the University of Chicago, continuing the company’s long-standing commitment to educational excellence.

Moreover, this year marks the 24th consecutive year of the “Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program.” Since its inception in 2000, in partnership with the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, Orascom Construction has awarded 99 scholarships to Egyptian students.

Furthermore, past recipients have studied at top U.S. institutions, including Harvard University, Stanford University, the University of Chicago, MIT, and the University of Pennsylvania.

The program offers full scholarships to graduate and undergraduate Egyptian students, covering tuition, living expenses, travel, and health insurance.
The scholarships are also awarded based on character, financial need, and merit, with a focus on academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Orascom Construction emphasizes the importance of education in fostering Egypt’s economic and social development.

Notably, as part of the scholarship program, students must return to Egypt upon completing their degrees, ensuring their newfound knowledge and skills contribute to the country’s future growth.
