New Administrative Capital Hosts Youth from the Fourth “Logos Forum”

The New Administrative Capital Urban Development Company (ACUD) has recently welcomed young participants from the fourth “Logos Forum,” organized by the Coptic Orthodox Church.

The visit aimed to introduce the youth to the monumental projects and significant achievements of the New Administrative Capital (NAC), enhance their awareness of Egypt’s development efforts, and foster a sense of national pride.

Moreover, the visit commenced with a tour of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, located south of Central Park in the NAC. Spanning 15 feddans (63,000 sqm), the cathedral is the largest in the Middle East, with a capacity of 8,200 worshippers. Construction of the cathedral, which involved around 1,000 engineers, technicians, and workers, took 23 months, from February 2017 to December 2018.

Furthermore, after the cathedral tour, the Logos Forum delegation visited the City of Arts and Culture. This world-class cultural hub, spread over 127 acres, features multiple theaters, galleries, libraries, museums, and exhibition spaces dedicated to traditional and contemporary arts, including music, painting, sculpture, and handicrafts.

Also, the city houses a grand celebration hall with a capacity of 2,500 people and smaller theatres accommodating up to 750 people each for special performances.

The youth delegation continued their field tour, exploring other key landmarks in the NAC, including the Financial District, the Government District, the People’s Square, and the city’s main thoroughfares.

Hence, the Coptic Orthodox Church is hosting the fourth edition of the “Logos Forum” at the Logos Papal Center in Wadi El-Natroun from August 24 to 31, 2024.

Notably, the event brings together 300 young Copts from across Egypt under the patronage and presence of Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark.
