Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, alongside Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, has reviewed the ongoing preparations for launching the second phase of the “Mamsha Ahl Misr” project along the Nile Corniche in Cairo, Invest-Gate reports.
Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs, Amin Ghoneim, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, and Mohamed Adel, Head of the Maspero Development Authority accompanied them.
El Sherbini emphasized that the Ministry of Housing, through the New Urban Communities Authority, is responsible for the “Mamsha Ahl Misr” project.
This initiative is part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to provide public spaces and increase green areas, improving citizens’ quality of life.
Moreover, he stressed the importance of maintaining the walkway’s quality by preserving green spaces and seating areas and ensuring regular maintenance and cleanliness so that all Egyptians can enjoy the space.
El Sherbini highlighted that the first phase of “Mamsha Ahl Misr” is already operational. It features a multi-level pedestrian walkway along the Corniche, restaurants, cafés, retail shops, parking garages, amphitheatres, and performance stages, alongside landscaped areas, terraces, and water fountains.
The second phase will extend from Qasr El Nil Bridge to October Bridge, from October Bridge to 15 May Bridge in the south, and from Imbaba Bridge to Sahel Bridge in the north.
Notably, it will include similar amenities, such as floating restaurants, cafés, retail outlets, service buildings, theaters, performance stages, landscaped areas, and water features.
