Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has released its sustainability performance scores for Q2 2024, alongside its half-year financial results, Invest-Gate reports.

These updates track the progress of the company’s Sustainability Impact (SSI) program, which supports its six long-term sustainability commitments.

In June 2024, TIME Magazine and Statista named Schneider Electric the “World’s Most Sustainable Company.” This recognition underscores the company’s leadership in climate action and dedication to helping customers improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.

Xavier Denoly, Senior Vice President of Sustainable Development at Schneider Electric, said, “Topping TIME’s list highlights the ambition and dedication required to decarbonize value chains and reshape business models. With 18 months left to achieve our 2025 goals, we’re building on each success to create lasting impact.”

Key achievements this quarter include:

• Climate Action: Schneider Electric’s energy-saving products, software, and services have helped its customers save and avoid over 600 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. The company aims to reach 800 million tonnes by 2025. It has also made significant progress decarbonizing its supply chain, with scope 3 emissions reduced by 33% this quarter, up from 19% last year.
• Empowering Future Generations: Through partnerships with NGOs and employee volunteers, Schneider Electric has trained 682,000 people in energy management skills. The company aims to train 1 million people by 2025. Recent initiatives include the “Get into Energy Transition” program launched in Senegal.
