Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Mohamed El Shemy, Minister of Public Enterprises, met to discuss cooperation between the two ministries, Invest-Gate reports.
The meeting, attended by officials from both ministries and the New Urban Communities Authority, focused on developing and enhancing state-owned assets managed by public sector companies.
The ministers explored opportunities to develop assets located in prime areas across various governorates, aligning with the government’s strategy to maximize the value of its assets.
El Sherbini emphasized the importance of inter-ministerial collaboration to drive comprehensive development across Egypt, which aligns with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives. He stressed the need for continuous coordination between relevant teams to expedite decision-making on shared projects.
El Shemy echoed this sentiment, highlighting the Ministry of Public Enterprises’ commitment to enhancing cooperation with other government bodies. He noted that optimizing and developing state-owned assets is a key component of the ministry’s strategy to reform and improve public companies, contributing to urban and developmental projects nationwide.
Both ministers praised the productive collaboration between public enterprises and the New Urban Communities Authority, underscoring the importance of such partnerships in Egypt’s ongoing development efforts.
