Orascom Development, a leading international developer of vibrant, integrated communities in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, has unveiled the next chapter of its Orascom Development Keys of Life 2024 initiative with a new report titled “Developing the Future”, Invest-Gate reports.
This report delves into trends that foster resilient and adaptive communities, representing the second installment following the successful inaugural edition, “Redefining Community” (released in July 2024).
The Orascom Development Keys of Life initiative seeks to comprehend and encourage discussions on the core ways in which the constantly evolving global community landscape shapes individuals’ lives.
Summarizing the company’s flagship thought leadership initiative, Omar El Hamamsy, Group CEO of Orascom Development, stated, “’Redefining Community’ delved into the themes of connection, wellness, and the sense of belonging that individuals seek in their communities. With ‘Developing the Future,’ our latest report under the Orascom Development Keys of Life 2024 banner, we explore significant lifestyle trends regarding the evolution of home, travel, and social dynamics – and forecast the impact of these changes on communities worldwide.”
“We also analyze the pivotal role of sustainability in crafting living spaces that harmonize with the natural environment. Through a research-driven approach to identifying these critical perspectives, we are confident that the industry can design communities of the future that cater to people’s preferred ways of living”, El Hamamsy added.
A key component of this initiative is the research undertaken by the global market research and data analytics firm, YouGov, which surveyed over 3,600 individuals across the Middle East and North Africa (including the UAE), Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States to explore global trends influencing people’s living preferences.
The findings reveal that nearly four in five (78%) young adults aged 18-24 favor a digital nomad lifestyle, a preference shared by less than half (43%) of individuals aged 45 and above.
Additionally, 85% of respondents prioritize homes with natural elements, while 76% emphasize eco-friendly features and sustainable design in their homes.
