Abu Dhabi unveiled on Tuesday, November 28, a new housing development as part of its public housing policy, Arabian Business reports.

To be based 30 kilometers from Abu Dhabi Downtown, the 8,000 hectare Al Riyadh City is expected to accommodate 200,000 UAE citizens and occupy 45% of Abu Dhabi’s total residential land area.

The new units will also provide housing for population segments, such as single female citizens, first time property buyers and other UAE nationals working in Abu Dhabi.

The project will feature public facilities, such as parks, schools, shops, mosques, and medical and community service centers.
