City Edge Developments has announced the launch of two new phases, “Verandas” and “Centria,” within its New Garden City project in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), addressing the development and supporting Egypt’s urban expansion goals, Invest-Gate reports.
Located in the residential (R5) district at the heart of the NAC, New Garden City spans 885 feddans and is strategically positioned near the regional ring roads and the southern Ben Zayed axis.
Moreover, the project benefits from proximity to the monorail system and key NAC landmarks, including the central business district, Green River, the iconic tower, and Hertfordshire International University.
Inspired by the architectural styles of Khedivial Cairo, City Edge aims to bring the historic elegance of downtown Cairo and Garden City to the NAC. However, the project combines retail and residential experiences in a uniquely urban design, with elevated residences and inner courtyards for each building. Architectural influences, including Baroque, Rococo, and Art Deco, blend traditional elements with modern European aesthetics for a distinctive facade design.
Commenting on the launch, Tamer Nasser, Chief Operating Officer of City Edge Developments, stated, “Our upcoming strategy focuses on rapidly developing our existing land portfolio while promoting domestic and international national urban projects. This approach will drive significant sales growth and stimulate new investments in the real estate sector to meet market demand.”
Notably, through this development, City Edge supports Egypt’s vision for urban growth and sustainable city planning.
