Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, met with Bruno Koné, Minister of Housing and Construction of Côte d’Ivoire; Dole Albert, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Cairo; and their accompanying delegation to present the Egyptian urban experience and discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries on the sidelines of the third day of the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12), Invest-Gate reports.

El Sherbini welcomed his counterpart from Côte d’Ivoire, the Ambassador, and the accompanying delegation to their second country, Egypt, and acknowledged their participation in the activities of WUF12, which returns to Africa after more than 20 years.

He emphasized that the Egyptian state, represented by the Ministry of Housing, is ready to share its expertise and transfer its experience to our brothers in Côte d’Ivoire and other African countries. This aligns with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which emphasize providing support and transferring the Egyptian urban experience to our brothers across the continent.

El Sherbini noted that Egyptian contracting companies, consulting offices, and real estate developers possess extensive experience in implementing various urban development projects. These companies also have a strong presence in both the African and Middle Eastern markets and are prepared to undertake diverse projects.

He also suggested organizing joint workshops between the two sides to establish frameworks for cooperation.

For his part, Koné praised the achievements of the Egyptian state in urban development, expressing his country’s desire to collaborate with Egypt and its companies in the areas of social housing, slum development, and the establishment and development of new cities.
