Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, convened a meeting with Sheikh Hassan Al Sharbatly, a prominent Saudi investor in Egypt, and his team to explore collaborative opportunities, address challenges, and review the progress of various projects, Invest-Gate reports.
Representatives from the Ministry of Housing were also present at the meeting.
At the outset, El Sherbini extended a warm welcome to the attendees and relayed the directives from the political leadership to streamline processes for investors and eliminate any hindrances that might impede foreign investment.
Throughout the meeting, El Sherbini was briefed on the status and schedules of several projects encompassing urban, commercial, and tourism initiatives across various new cities, including Sheikh Zayed, New Cairo, and the North West Coast.
Emphasizing the importance of expediting project completion in alignment with set timelines, El Sherbini underscored the goal of achieving accelerated development rates in these new cities. He instructed the establishment of clear and comprehensive timeframes for outstanding project tasks to prompt swift actions necessary for project finalization.
El Sherbini highlighted the Egyptian government’s commitment, channeled through the Ministry of Housing, to fostering an investment-friendly environment, resolving issues, and surmounting obstacles that investors might encounter in the Egyptian market. The Cabinet is actively engaged in troubleshooting and obstacle removal, while the ministry is dedicated to addressing challenges and facilitating solutions for investors.
In response, Al Sharbatly and his team commended the minister for his support, particularly in attentively considering their proposals and swiftly resolving obstacles that certain projects may have encountered.
