The ministers of Housing and Higher Education have signed a cooperation protocol to establish Al-Alamein International University for Sciences and Technology in New Al-Alamein City, Invest-Gate reports.

The university will contribute to the development of the city, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly says in a statement.

The university, which is the first of its kind in the city, will open its doors to students in the academic year 2019/2020.

The university will include departments for engineering and technology, basic sciences, pharmacy, medicine, international law, management, economics and political science, as well as arts and design.
