This free public library is located in Maxim Mall Shinzo on Shinzo Abe Axis and spans an area of 250 sqm, representing a significant addition to efforts aimed at promoting culture and knowledge.
The opening was attended by several prominent figures, including Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture; Ibrahim Saber Khalil, Governor of Cairo; Ahmed Bahi, Chairman of the Egyptian General Book Authority; and Abdel Raouf El-Reedy, Chairman of the Egyptian Public Library. Also present were Mohamed Karar, Chairman of Maxim Investment Group; Naglaa El-Sahhar, Founder of the Foundation; and Nahal Issa, Chief Marketing Officer of Maxim Investment Group, along with other leaders from the group and notable community figures.
This initiative aligns with the efforts of the Maxim Charitable Foundation for Development and Services in support of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and community initiatives aimed at building the Egyptian individual through integrated development programs.
These initiatives are led by the President’s initiative, “A New Beginning to Build the Human,” which seeks to improve the quality of life for citizens through various activities and services focused on culture, education, health, sports, and employment.
The opening of “N El-Sahhar” Library is the result of the unwavering support provided by state institutions, particularly the Ministry of Culture. Egypt’s public libraries have contributed the necessary technical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of “N El-Sahhar” Library, as well as a wide and diverse collection of books that cater to readers with varying interests. This support was further reinforced by the close cooperation and significant assistance provided by Cairo Governorate.
