Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, held a meeting today at the Ministry of Housing to discuss several common issues and ways to enhance cooperation between the two ministries, Invest-Gate reports.
The meeting was attended by officials from both ministries, the New Urban Communities Authority, the General Authority for Urban Planning, and the Desert Research Center.
The two ministers reviewed the status of the urban area modernization plan implemented by the General Authority for Urban Planning, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Housing. They also discussed the progress of sewage projects carried out by the Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation, as well as strategies to maximize the use of treated water for designated purposes in accordance with international standards.
The Ministers of Housing and Agriculture agreed on the necessity of continuing joint work and coordination among specialists from both ministries and their affiliated bodies. This collaboration aims to serve the nation’s interests and provide citizens with high-quality services within the framework of the significant urban renaissance witnessed by the Egyptian state during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
