Eng. Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held an expanded meeting at the beginning of his tour of New Alamein City, at the city’s headquarters, Invest-Gate reports.

The purpose of the meeting was to review and follow up on the status of various development projects in the North West Coast region, overseen by the New Urban Communities Authority and its authorities, including New Alamein City, Ras El Hekma, the West Dabaa area, and Marina 8.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and heads of authorities from the North West Coast sectors and tourist villages.

The Minister received a detailed explanation of the ongoing utility works in the Ras El Hekma area and the various projects in progress. In this context, he directed that additional equipment be provided to complete the projects within the specified timeline, particularly in the Shams El Hekma area.

El Sherbini emphasized the importance of achieving tangible results, stating that success is measured by the work accomplished. He stressed the need for continuous communication with companies, efforts to expedite timelines, and the establishment of a specific implementation mechanism, including periodic follow-ups and solutions to all technical problems identified at project sites. He encouraged direct communication with him to address any obstacles facing the projects.

Additionally, El Sherbini instructed authority heads to evaluate companies periodically, ensuring alignment with the achievement of results on the ground and meeting targets. He emphasized that each authority head is responsible for all work within their jurisdiction, including the distribution of tasks among companies and the withdrawal of work from those that are negligent, along with regular follow-ups.
