The Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, has issued a decision to form specialized advisory committees to enhance communication between the government and experts across various private sector fields, Invest-Gate reports.
This initiative aims to establish permanent channels for exchanging visions and proposals to support the policy-making process.
The decision outlines the formation of six specialized advisory committees and specifies their members. Each committee will provide opinions and proposals to support government efforts aimed at reforming and promoting the relevant sector while enhancing the role of the private sector in the policy-making process.
Their advisory tasks include submitting periodic reports to the Prime Minister that detail the challenges facing their respective sectors, proposing practical solutions to address these challenges, and offering advisory opinions on the strategies, plans, policies, and programs adopted by the government.
Additionally, they will provide an objective assessment of the impact of these strategies on their sectors, participate in discussions related to policy formulation, and prepare independent assessments on the feasibility of government solutions aimed at promoting their sectors in the short and medium term.
They will also propose mechanisms to enhance the international competitiveness of their sectors, contributing to improved efficiency, and provide advice on any additional tasks assigned by the Prime Minister in line with the committee’s objectives.
Each specialized advisory committee will be chaired by the Prime Minister and attended by relevant ministers and heads of authorities. They will meet periodically, at least once a month, and as needed, to address challenges facing their sectors and propose adoptable policies and solutions.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that the formation of these advisory groups, comprising elite individuals from the private sector, experts, and specialists, will facilitate the incorporation of additional specialized personnel as needed based on the issues raised.
This approach ensures a continual infusion of new ideas and promotes intellectual and specialized diversity, ultimately achieving the highest levels of efficiency in tackling challenges and developing innovative visions for sustainable development.
