GEDICO Developments, part of El Zalat Group, launched its flagship administrative project NEBU in the New Administrative Capital earlier this year, with initial investments exceeding EGP 3 bn, Invest-Gate reports.
Positioned in a prime location overlooking the City of Justice, the Cabinet Headquarters, and Masr Mosque, NEBU blends modern design with pharaonic inspiration and aims to be the first LEED-certified administrative building in the area.
Designed by CUBE Consultants under Dr. Ashraf Abdel Mohsen, NEBU comprises two buildings connected by front and rear plazas. It includes two basement parking levels and nine office floors with internal heights exceeding 4 meters. The main entrance features a grand 500 sqm lobby with a 16-meter-high ceiling, echoing ancient Egyptian temples. The project also houses six elevators, four emergency staircases, and will accommodate four major banks and a multipurpose conference hall. GEDICO has already sold over 85% of the first phase, signaling strong investor confidence.
El Zallat Construction and General Contracting, GEDICO’s sister company, will handle structural and infrastructure work starting in July 2025. Completion is expected within two years.
Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Ahmed El Zallat stated, “NEBU marks the beginning of our ambitious expansion in the New Capital. We’re preparing to launch a second project with similar architectural standards, investing over EGP 5 bn, with the official announcement expected early next year.”
He added that GEDICO plans to launch a residential project in East Cairo and is exploring opportunities on the North Coast, pending the availability of a uniquely located plot.
