Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Sherif El-Sherbini met with a representative from Estadat for Sports Investment to explore avenues of cooperation under an existing protocol between the ministry and the company, Invest-Gate reports.

The agreement, signed with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), covers the management and operation of leisure and sports facilities, including swimming pools, within residential compounds across several new cities. Officials from the Ministry of Housing and NUCA also attended the meeting.

El-Sherbini emphasised that the ministry aims to provide high-quality recreational services to residents, preserve investments made in these facilities, and maintain the aesthetic and urban character of the new cities, contributing to overall quality of life.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed detailed proposals for managing entertainment spaces in six existing new cities—two of which are set to become operational soon—and discussed plans to expand these services and better utilise vacant plots.
