Eng. Sherif El Sherbini Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities reviewed the progress of infrastructure development projects in several cities, including 15th of May City, New Damietta, 10th of Ramadan, Shorouk, and Obour, Invest-Gate reports.
The projects involve roads, water and sewage networks, sidewalks, and green spaces, aimed at improving service quality and urban life.
El Sherbini stressed the need to complete ongoing works swiftly and to the highest standards, while utilising vacant plots within development zones for investment and service projects. He said this would support the economic and social infrastructure of the cities and improve public services.
In 15th of May City, Head of the City Authority Ali Saad reviewed road development in the 90-feddan area, including the rehabilitation and expansion of main and side roads and the installation of rainwater drainage systems. He also reported on a new public garden under the city’s greening plan.
Ashraf Fathy Mahmoud, Head of New Damietta City Authority, inspected maintenance work on the main Damietta/New Damietta road near the port. He urged rapid progress on the railway crossing expansion and upgrades to Road 1, from the port entrance to the city’s eastern gate.
In Shorouk, City Authority Head Bassam Mohamed Fadl instructed the roads department to improve roads and sidewalks in the city’s western sector, including new curbs and pavement repairs.
In 10th of Ramadan, City Head Alaa Abdellah Mostafa visited the first district to inspect work on water, sewage, irrigation networks, and landscaping. He called for adherence to quality standards and prompt delivery.
In Obour, Head of the City Authority Ahmed Rashad toured the northern industrial zone, following up on road upgrades and sidewalk improvements to ease traffic and support investment. He also inspected service projects in multiple residential districts.
