Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly announced this week the largest budget for the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in its history, amounting to EGP 85 bn for the fiscal year 2018/2019, during his meeting with NUCA’s Board of Directors.

Madbouli thanked the board, all NUCA’s employees and all the new cities authorities for the unprecedented effort and achievements in the various new cities and the tremendous development of the budget over the past years.

He assured that the exceptional budget will be translated into projects that contribute to achieving the required development, increasing the constructed areas, attracting private investments, as well as, providing thousands of job opportunities, housing units, roads and facilities.

Abdulmutallab Mamdouh, vice chairman of NUCA, presented the projects to be implemented between 1/7/2018 and 30/6/2019 in the new cities, including projects in the drinking water sector, sewerage sector, road sector, electricity sector, real estate sector and other utilities and services sectors.
