With the Participation of Engineering Syndicates from 18 Arab Countries, Egypt’s Housing Ministry Advances Arab Cooperation in Real Estate Export

Egypt’s Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities is strengthening Arab cooperation in real estate development, as Minister Sherif El Sherbini witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and Federation of Arab Engineers, Invest-Gate reports.

The signing took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Capital, in the presence of representatives from engineering syndicates across 18 Arab countries.

The agreement aims to coordinate efforts between NUCA and Federation of Arab Engineers to promote Egyptian real estate in regional markets, expand the base of non-Egyptian buyers, and support investment and knowledge exchange. The protocol also aligns with Egypt’s strategy to develop the real estate export sector as a non-traditional source of national income, capitalizing on the country’s advanced infrastructure, integrated urban communities, and strategic investment locations.

El Sherbini described the protocol as a “significant step” toward opening new regional markets for Egyptian real estate. He emphasized Egypt’s commitment to transforming real estate from a local activity into an export-oriented industry based on quality standards and transparent institutional frameworks that foster regional and international investor confidence.

He added that under the guidance of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt has created a diverse landscape of investment opportunities, including smart cities and a wide range of real estate products catering to both local and foreign investors. “Egyptian real estate is no longer just about buildings — it now reflects a broader development vision and investment message,” El Sherbini said, highlighting that regional cooperation in urban development is a strategic priority backed by Egypt’s leadership.

Dr. Adel Al Hadithi, Secretary-General of Federation of Arab Engineers, expressed his appreciation to the Minister for the warm welcome and commended the participation of Arab representatives despite long travel distances. He praised the protocol as a testament to both sides’ commitment to institutional cooperation and technical knowledge sharing.

Eng. Fouad Al Kindi, Chairman of the Oman Engineers Society, praised Egyptian developers for their significant role in Oman’s urban development and highlighted their expertise and professionalism. He welcomed deeper collaboration between Egypt and Oman in real estate and other sectors.

Arab engineering representatives attending the signing lauded the Egyptian initiative, viewing it as a model for professional cooperation that addresses urban challenges in the region. They commended the Housing Ministry and NUCA for fostering regional integration based on planning and shared expertise.
