During His Address at Cityscape Summit 2025, Khaled Abbas Highlights New Capital’s Growth Plans and Upcoming Digital Licensing Program

The Cityscape Egypt 2025 Summit kicked off today at the St. Regis Hotel in the New Capital, bringing together leading investors, developers, and financiers at one of the region’s most prominent real estate events, Invest-Gate reports.

Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and CEO of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), emphasized that hosting the summit in the New Capital highlights the scale of progress achieved on the ground. He noted that government institutions have been operating from the city for two years, adding: “Starting from 2026, the Egyptian state will be fully managed from the New Capital—a dream envisioned over seven years ago that has now become reality.”

Abbas revealed that ACUD will launch the city’s first electronic licensing program within a month, marking a new step toward offering fully digitalized services in a smart, integrated city. He stressed that all state entities are represented within the company’s headquarters, enabling citizens and investors to access education, health, and other services efficiently.

He further outlined that the New Capital is expected to accommodate 300,000 to 400,000 residents within the next three years, and between 8 to 10 million residents over the next 25 years. He underscored that the New Capital is not merely a housing project but a comprehensive urban destination that integrates education, healthcare, sports, hospitality, and diverse investment opportunities across multiple sectors.

Highlighting market resilience, Abbas affirmed that Egypt’s real estate market remains strong and attractive, noting that the record participation at this year’s Cityscape reflects growing investor appetite.

The summit’s agenda featured high-level discussions on global economic trends, Egypt’s economic reform program, and Vision 2030. Cityscape Egypt 2025, launching today, will host over 80 local and international developers showcasing more than 1,000 residential, commercial, administrative, and smart city projects. The exhibition is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors, including investors, business leaders, and individuals seeking new opportunities.
