GROHE, part of LIXIL and a global leader in bathroom and kitchen solutions, has marked a milestone in Egyptian vocational education by celebrating the first graduating class of its GROHE Installer Vocational Training and Education (GIVE) Program in Cairo. The initiative has trained 45 young Egyptians with hands-on plumbing and sanitary installation skills supported by international certification, Invest-Gate reports.
Mohamad Ataya, Leader for North West Africa at LIXIL IMEA, attended the ceremony and honored the students for completing 96 hours of practical and theoretical training over two years.
“This first graduating class represents a proud moment for GROHE and a tangible step toward developing a skilled, future-ready workforce,” Ataya stated. “As an industry leader, it is our responsibility to equip young professionals with the skills, tools, and sustainable mindset needed to advance the sector, contribute to their communities, and shape the future of the plumbing industry.”
Launched in Egypt in 2023, the GIVE Program supports the national strategy to boost vocational education and establish 100 technical schools by 2030. Through modern facilities, advanced tools, and structured training modules, students gain qualifications that enhance their employment prospects within GROHE’s industry network.
The program reinforces GROHE’s commitment to local talent development, sustainable innovation, and economic growth. It is expanding across Europe, the Middle East, and North West Africa with over 60 partner institutions, already active in Morocco, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Europe, and Saudi Arabia. GIVE aims to engage more than 5,000 students aged 18 to 25 in the coming years.
