Mountain View Foundation for Development held a special ceremony to honor Egyptian Paralympic athlete Ahmed Moamen for winning the silver medal in the +107 kg category at the World Junior Para Powerlifting Championships, recognizing his outstanding international achievement, Invest-Gate reports.

The celebration reflects the foundation’s ongoing relationship with Moamen, who was first discovered in 2022 through the “Discovering Champions” program launched by Mountain View Foundation to identify and support exceptional young athletes across Egypt’s towns and villages. Since then, the foundation has sponsored his training and development as part of its commitment to empowering Egyptian youth and helping them achieve success locally and internationally.

The event was attended by Eng. Amr Soliman, Founder and Executive Chairman of Mountain View, Major General Abu Bakr El Gendy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mountain View Foundation, Members of Mountain View Foundation and Mohamed Idris, CEO of Sports Legends, the foundation’s strategic partner in the program.

Sports Legends played a key role in training and preparing Moamen for international competition, equipping him to perform at the highest global standards. During the ceremony, Moamen received a financial award in appreciation of his efforts and success, underscoring Mountain View’s dedication to supporting exceptional athletes and highlighting the role of sports in nurturing ambition, perseverance, and leadership among youth.

Major General Abu Bakr El Gendy emphasized that supporting sports champions is a core part of the foundation’s social responsibility and its mission to nurture promising Egyptian talent. He noted that honoring Ahmed Moamen marks the beginning of a series of initiatives aimed at developing and empowering youth across various fields.

Mohamed Idris, CEO of Sports Legends, expressed pride in the partnership with Mountain View Foundation in the “Discovering Champions” program, reaffirming his commitment to supporting talented youth and encouraging them to achieve even greater accomplishments.

Launched in 2022, the “Discovering Champions” program aims to promote creativity and support young Egyptian talents in pre-university education by providing comprehensive social, economic, and healthcare support for their families. The initiative is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.

The World Para Powerlifting Championships took place at El Nady Club in the New Capital from October 9–18, where Egypt ranked third overall in the individual and team events with a total of seven medals — two gold, one silver, and four bronze.
