Prime Minister Reviews Arrangements for the Launch of the Fustat Hills Winter Festival 2025 Next Friday

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly reviewed a report from Eng. Khaled Sedeik, Chairman of the Board of Urban Development Fund, on preparations for the upcoming Fustat Hills Winter Festival 2025, set to kick off next Friday at Fustat Hills Park, Invest-Gate reports.

Dr. Madbouly praised the idea of hosting a winter festival in Fustat Hills Park, emphasizing that it fulfills one of the key objectives of the project — promoting the park as a unique recreational and tourism destination in the heart of Cairo, surrounded by captivating scenery and rich historical landmarks.

Eng. Khaled Sedeik explained that the Fustat Hills Park project is part of a broader vision to revitalize Cairo’s urban landscape by introducing new green spaces across nearly 500 feddans in Old Cairo. The park is one of the largest of its kind in the Middle East, featuring cultural, entertainment, and commercial activities that celebrate Egyptian heritage through the ages. It also includes open-air theaters, hospitality services, archaeological sites, and heritage gardens.

Sedeik noted that the festival, held under the slogan “Fustat Is Back Again,” represents the first winter event of its kind in central Cairo — similar to the New Alamein Festival, which attracts large summer audiences.

He added that the Urban Development Fund is launching the Fustat Hills Winter Festival 2025 from the Arena Theater in Fustat Hills Park as part of ongoing efforts to revive cultural and historical identity, complementing celebrations of the Grand Egyptian Museum’s inauguration.

The festival will run from November 14 to December 5 and will feature performances by top Egyptian artists. The opening concert will be led by the renowned composer Omar Khairat, followed by shows by Amal Maher, Tamer Ashour, Ahmed Saad, Marwan Moussa, and other popular stars.
