Prime Minister Reviews the Progress of “Ras El Hekma New City” and “Shams El Hekma” Projects

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, held a meeting today to follow up on the execution status of the “Ras El Hekma New City” and “Shams El Hekma” projects. The session was attended by Lieutenant General Eng. Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry; Eng. Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities; and Major General Khaled Shaib, Governor of Matrouh, Invest-Gate reports.

The meeting was also attended by Major General Shoukry Hemmat, representing the Ministry of Interior; Major General Mohamed Said, Assistant Minister of Transport for Projects, Dr. Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities for Technical Affairs; Major General Hossam El Sisi, Head of the Central Administration for Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Transport; Eng. Ahmed Omran, Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Utilities; Eng. Walid Haggag, Head of Ras El Hekma City Development Authority; Mr. Khalaf El-Sayed, Head of Ras El Hekma City; along with officials from relevant authorities.

At the start of the meeting, Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized his commitment to continuously monitoring all ongoing works and projects. He highlighted the importance of providing comprehensive services to residents of the alternative community in Shams El Hekma and accelerating the execution of roads, utilities, and infrastructure to ensure a dignified and civilized life.

The session noted the completion of utility and road works, activation of electricity supply, street lighting, and the opening of the experimental school during the current academic year. Regarding alternative housing, 277 contracts were issued, 400 requests inspected, and 247 requests are currently under review.

Counselor Mohamed El Homsany, Official Spokesperson for the Prime Minister, stated that the meeting also reviewed the removal of encroachments in Ras El Hekma New City and the disbursement of compensations for buildings, land plots, and plantations.

The discussion extended to the execution of investment and hotel zones, along with the progress of Ras El Hekma Airport. Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized that these projects are creating thousands of job opportunities, raising living standards, and contributing to social and economic returns.

The session concluded with updates on the delivery of land plots as part of the first phase of projects by Ras El Hekma Urban Development Company. The Prime Minister highlighted that these initiatives leverage the state’s assets to maximize development and investment potential across the region.
