Real Estate Development Chamber Meets Canadian Business Delegation to Support Technology Transfer and Increase Investments to USD 2.2bn by 2026

Real Estate Development Chamber, affiliated with the Federation of Egyptian Industries, held extensive meetings with a delegation from the Egyptian Canadian Business Council, which includes a number of leading Canadian business figures, to discuss frameworks for joint cooperation aimed at attracting more Canadian investments to the Egyptian market and supporting the real estate export file, Invest-Gate reports.

This comes within the framework of the Real Estate Development Chamber’s strategy, headed by Eng. Tarek Shoukry, which aims to remove obstacles facing foreign investments as one of the chamber’s top priorities during 2026.

The meeting with the Canadian delegation was attended by Counselor Osama Saad El-Din, Executive Director of the Real Estate Development Chamber, along with a number of the chamber’s board members, including Eng. Ahmed Amin Massoud and Eng. Mohamed Rashed.

During the meetings, a number of axes and strategies supporting the enhancement of joint cooperation were agreed upon, and the partnership objectives between the two sides were defined as follows:

Real Estate Export: The Real Estate Development Chamber’s 2026 strategy focuses on opening new markets and activating mechanisms for exporting Egyptian real estate to attract foreign currency. The Canadian market is considered one of the targeted markets in this regard through cooperation with the Canadian delegation, contributing to increasing the volume of Canadian investments in Egypt to approximately USD 2.22bn by the end of 2026.

Developing New Financing Models: Discussing mechanisms for Islamic mortgage financing and Sharia-compliant financial products, with the aim of enhancing financial inclusion and providing diverse financing solutions that meet buyers’ needs.

Technology and Expertise Transfer: The cooperation focuses on transferring Canadian expertise in the fields of digital real estate brokerage, customer relationship management platforms, and Multiple Listing Systems (MLS), supporting digital transformation in the Egyptian real estate market.

Bilateral Partnerships: Facilitating the establishment of direct and long-term partnerships between Egyptian real estate developers and Canadian business leaders, especially in sustainable development projects and smart cities.

Supporting Egypt Vision 2030: Aligning joint real estate projects with the sustainable development agenda and focusing on innovation in building integrated urban communities.

Removing Legislative Obstacles: Coordinating between the Real Estate Development Chamber and the relevant government entities to resolve challenges facing foreign investors and ensure the provision of a stable investment environment that supports long-term growth.
