The third day of MIPIM 2026 kicked off with a dynamic program of discussions highlighting regional investment opportunities in France, the growing impact of artificial intelligence on real estate investment, and the evolving dynamics of the global residential sector.
Unlocking Regional Investment Opportunities in France
One of the key sessions of the day, “Investment Guide: Unlocking Opportunities in French Regions,” explored the investment potential of regional projects across France. Public sector representatives and investors discussed opportunities and challenges in markets outside traditional urban hubs.
Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Real Estate
A major highlight of the program was the “Digital Real Estate Innovations” series, organized in association with Columbia University, which examined how data and artificial intelligence are transforming the real estate industry and influencing investment decisions.
The series featured several in-depth lectures, starting with “Lecture I: Understanding AI (For Real!): How It Actually Works and Why It Matters,” which provided insights into how artificial intelligence technologies function and why they are increasingly important for the real estate sector.
This was followed by “Lecture II: AI in Real Estate Investment: What’s Being Used, What’s Possible, and What’s Next?”, where experts discussed current AI applications in real estate investment and explored the technologies likely to shape the sector in the near future.
Another session, “Lecture III: Data-Driven Site Selection: Insights and Lessons Learned,” focused on the role of advanced data analytics in identifying optimal development locations and improving investment decision-making.
Meanwhile, “Lecture IV: Data Infrastructure and AI: Driving Investment Through Public–Private Collaboration” highlighted the importance of robust data infrastructure and the growing collaboration between public and private sectors to unlock new real estate investment opportunities.
The Future of Residential Real Estate: Interactive Workshop
The agenda also featured “Living Workshop — Delivering Scale and Sustainability in a Supply-Starved Market,” which examined the resilience of living sectors despite macroeconomic challenges. Discussions focused on strong investor interest in sectors such as build-to-rent, purpose-built student accommodation, and co-living, while also addressing key issues including housing affordability and emerging investment models shaping the future of residential real estate.
MIPIM Awards and Outstanding Projects
In parallel, attention also turned to the MIPIM Awards, where finalists representing some of the most outstanding real estate projects worldwide were showcased ahead of the official awards ceremony scheduled later during the event.
