Minister of Housing Reviews Progress of Maspero Triangle and Magra El Oyoun Development Projects

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting to review the executive status of the Maspero Triangle and Magra El Oyoun development projects in Cairo. The meeting was attended by Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister for Urban Communities, alongside ministry officials, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the head of the Maspero, Magra El Oyoun, and Imbaba Airport Development Authority, Invest-Gate reports.

A Comprehensive Urban Transformation for Cairo
The minister emphasized that these projects represent an integrated model of the state’s efforts to redevelop historically significant areas into modern, investment-attractive urban communities. She highlighted their role in achieving a qualitative shift in Cairo’s urban landscape, offering diverse residential, commercial, administrative, and recreational uses to support sustainable urban development.

Maspero Triangle Development Details
The meeting reviewed the latest updates on the Maspero Triangle project, which includes a 19,220 sqm underground parking facility with a capacity of 353 cars, a 16,970 sqm ground-floor commercial area, and a 15,800 sqm upper parking level accommodating 280 cars.
The project also comprises two alternative housing towers with a total of 936 units already allocated to beneficiaries, a third 23-story residential tower with 134 units, and an administrative tower featuring a commercial ground floor and 15 repeated floors.
In addition, the “Nile Maspero Towers” project is underway, consisting of three 30-story residential towers built on a podium with commercial, administrative, and recreational activities, alongside parking levels and a power station serving the area. The “Maspero Towers” project is also being developed, including two towers (hotel/residential and administrative).

Magra El Oyoun Project Components
The meeting also addressed the progress of the Magra El Oyoun development project, which includes 79 residential buildings comprising 1,924 housing units, in addition to a hotel and a mixed-use commercial, administrative, and entertainment mall featuring restaurants, cinemas, and an open-air theater.

Directives to Accelerate Implementation
At the conclusion of the meeting, the minister stressed the importance of adhering to the agreed timeline and accelerating implementation to ensure timely completion, achieve development goals, and enhance the quality of life in the redeveloped areas.
