Wayz Transportation, a subsidiary of Midar, has obtained the ISO 39001 certification for Road Traffic Safety (RTS) Management Systems from Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS, one of the world’s leading certification and inspection bodies. This makes Wayz the first Egyptian company in the transportation sector to receive this international accreditation, Invest-Gate reports.
This achievement serves as a global recognition of Wayz’s advanced road safety management systems, reaffirming the company’s commitment to implementing the highest international standards in managing and operating transportation services. It further enhances road safety levels and strengthens its position as a leading smart mobility provider in the Egyptian market.

The certification also reflects Midar’s dedication to developing an integrated service ecosystem within its cities—extending beyond urban development to include the management and operation of vital services in line with global best practices. This contributes to improving the efficiency and sustainability of transportation systems.
Eng. Ayman ElKousey, Managing Director and CEO of Midar, stated that Wayz’s ISO 39001 certification represents a significant milestone, highlighting the company’s commitment to the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency. This aligns with Midar’s vision of delivering fully integrated services based on international standards—not only in urban development but also in efficient and sustainable city management and operations.

ElKousey added that Midar is committed to continuously investing in the development of its subsidiaries to enhance quality of life within its cities and support Egypt’s smart city ecosystem. He noted that the company has established several specialized entities to serve residents and investors in Midar’s cities, including CTRL for facility management, CIRCUIT for electricity distribution, and Wayz for transportation services—all aimed at delivering services in accordance with the highest global standards.
It is worth noting that Wayz was established to develop and manage transportation systems both within and beyond Midar’s cities—Mostakbal City and MADA—while connecting them to Greater Cairo through a network of major roads and corridors.
The company relies on advanced technological solutions in operating its transport services, including trip booking and digital payment systems. Its fleet includes MCV400 buses, designed to ensure maximum comfort and convenience, equipped with advanced features such as display screens, Wi-Fi services, and the latest safety and monitoring technologies.
