Industrial Development Group (IDG) Announces Construction Breakthrough at e2 New October, Reinforcing Its Vision as a Leading Innovation Hub

Industrial Development Group (IDG), a leading developer and operator of advanced industrial parks, announced a major construction milestone at its latest industrial park, “e2 New October,” in New 6th of October City. The group has fully completed the project’s masterplan, reached the final stages of appointing consultants, and has begun selecting contractors to accelerate construction on the 1.6 million sqm development, Invest-Gate reports.

Expansion Strategy Supporting Innovation and Local Manufacturing

This milestone comes as part of IDG’s expansion strategy to create fully integrated industrial communities that go beyond the traditional concept of industrial zones, transforming them into hubs for innovation and sustainable economic value, in line with Egypt Vision 2030 to deepen local manufacturing.

Management Statements: Smart Growth and Value Creation

Shady William, Managing Director of Industrial Development Group (IDG), stated: “Our long-term vision is to position the group as a leading industrial developer by creating destinations that empower industry and foster innovation. In the coming phase, we are focused on purposeful growth through both vertical and horizontal expansion, while deepening value creation across all our projects to ensure an optimal environment where investors and manufacturers can establish, grow, and innovate with confidence.”

He added: “We aim to build a comprehensive platform that responds to the evolving needs of global supply chains, while committing to a smart industrial park model that integrates advanced technologies with environmental responsibility, enhancing Egypt’s ability to transition toward innovation and sustainability.”

Integrated Project Driving Employment and Sustainable Development

“e2 New October” enjoys a prime strategic location and is set to host more than 100 industrial, logistics, and commercial facilities, creating over 10,000 job opportunities. The project further strengthens IDG’s role as a key player in advancing the industrial sector through the implementation of sustainable development standards and circular economy practices, across its current developments in October, East Port Said, and New Alamein, as well as its future expansion plans in promising African markets.

These developments also reinforce IDG’s land portfolio, which totals 23.4 million sqm, strategically distributed between export gateways in East Port Said and New Alamein, and local market support hubs in October and New October, solidifying the group’s position as a central driver of industrial growth through sustainable and circular economy practices across all its industrial complexes.
