Prime Minister Follows Up on Execution Status and Delivery Plans for Several Housing Ministry Projects

Following Up on Housing and Urban Development Projects

Today, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to follow up on the executive status, delivery plans, and operational strategies for a number of projects affiliated with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities. The meeting was attended by Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Dr. Walid Abbas, Major General Osama El-Genzory, Eng. Khaled Sedik, Dr. Abdel Aziz Fahmy and several officials.The Prime Minister stressed that the meeting comes within the framework of the government’s keenness to monitor the progress of housing, utilities, and urban development projects, as well as delivery and operation plans, given their importance in achieving urban development and modernization goals across Egypt, Invest-Gate reports.

Advanced Progress Rates in New Alamein Projects

During the meeting, Eng. Randa El-Menshawy reviewed the executive status of projects in New Alamein City, highlighting advanced implementation rates across various components, including the beachfront towers in their different phases, Marina Towers, the western lagoons, and both phases of the Downtown area, in addition to the Heritage City and operational buildings.

The review also covered several residential developments, including Mazarine Compound, Housing for All Egyptians, Distinguished Housing, Sakan Misr and the Latin District.

Readiness of the Latin District and Unit Deliveries

The Minister of Housing also addressed delivery plans in New Alamein City, confirming that the Latin District, which includes around 10,316 residential units, is now fully ready for handover. A large number of units have already been delivered, while official notifications were sent to clients to complete handover procedures.

She further noted that nearly 1,909 units out of 2,600 completed units in the beachfront towers have already been delivered, with handovers continuing across various residential projects in the city.

Infrastructure and Utilities Development in New Alamein

The minister also reviewed the progress of utilities works in New Alamein, including drinking water supply projects, sewage services, irrigation transmission lines, and various utility networks, in addition to upgrading roads, main axes, and public squares, alongside landscaping and afforestation works.

New Alamein’s Operational Vision and International Events

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy also presented the comprehensive operational vision for New Alamein City, which aims to transform the city into a regional and international hub for conferences, exhibitions, and major events throughout the year, while ensuring integration among various activities and supporting industrial zones to create permanent job opportunities and enhance residential stability.

She added that New Alamein is preparing to host several major events during 2026, including the African Development Bank Annual Meetings, the African Union Finance and Business Summit, the African Union Entrepreneurship Summit, the International Food Festival, the Medical Tourism Festival, the Arabian Horse Equestrian Festival, the Global Hospitality Conference, Cityscape Conference, Alamein World Festival, and the New Alamein International Book Fair.

Following Up on Ras El Hekma and the New Urban Community

The Minister of Housing also reviewed the executive status of the Ras El Hekma project, including the provision and servicing of alternative lands in Shams El Hekma area, in addition to establishing various service zones.

She further addressed the status of the new urban community in Samla and Alam El Roum, noting the continued servicing works in the alternative housing area, alongside the implementation of service facilities including a school, a commercial market, and a healthcare unit.

Near Completion of the “Great Transfiguration” Project in Saint Catherine

Regarding the “Great Transfiguration Above the Land of Peace” project in Saint Catherine, Eng. Randa El-Menshawy confirmed that the project has entered its final stages, with full completion scheduled by the end of June 2026.

She explained that works have been completed 100% in the new Visitors Center, the Peace Square and Building, the social club, and the development of 231 Bedouin houses. Meanwhile, the Heritage Town Center reached 98% completion, and the hilltop tourist resort reached 99%, in addition to completing the administrative handover of the new police complex and the new governmental complex in South Sinai Governorate.

Continued Development of Warraq Island

Regarding the Warraq Island development project, the minister reviewed the progress of works, including land delivery procedures, compensation payments to residents, and the provision of alternative housing units, residential lands, or agricultural lands for eligible beneficiaries.

She affirmed that the urgent phase of the project is progressing according to schedule, with September 30, 2026 set as the date for beginning the delivery of 792 residential units to the island’s residents, alongside continued implementation of utilities and essential services.

Final Stages of Fustat Hills Park Project

Concerning the Fustat Hills Park project in Cairo, the minister stated that the project extends over an area of 500 feddans and is nearing full completion. Works have been finalized 100% in the Egyptian-Cairene Club, the cultural zone, the plaza, and the hills landscape area.

She added that the investment zone has reached a 99% completion rate and is ready for initial handover on May 15, while implementation rates reached 99% in the adventure zone, museum storage area, and heritage gardens, 98.5% in the river zone, and 97% in the markets area.

Investment Opportunities and Projects Ready for Inauguration

The Minister of Housing also reviewed mechanisms for allocating investment opportunities in new cities for both local and foreign direct investments, affirming that Egypt is adopting an ambitious strategy to transform new cities into global investment destinations through digital transformation and the launch of specialized electronic portals that ensure transparency, fairness, and speedy allocation procedures.

The meeting also reviewed several projects ready for inauguration, implemented by the Central Agency for Reconstruction, including the Amr Ibn El Aas Axis in Giza Governorate, in addition to several other development and infrastructure projects.
