Eng. Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, met with Mr. David Hamilton, Project Director at Malcolm Reading Consultants, to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation in the field of urban planning. The meeting took place on the sidelines of her participation in the conference “Egypt Forward: Investment Opportunities and Sustainable Economic Reform,” organized by the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA) from June 3 to 5, 2026, in London, Invest-Gate reports.
Emphasizing Egypt’s Urban Development Boom
The Minister of Housing affirmed that Egypt is witnessing an unprecedented urban and development boom, supported by a wide range of sustainable urban development projects and new cities. This creates opportunities to strengthen cooperation with international institutions and companies that have specialized expertise and to benefit from global best practices in planning, urban development, and project management.
Presentation of the Company’s International Experience
During the meeting, the company’s representatives reviewed their experience in implementing major urban and architectural projects at the international level, in addition to their work in several countries, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar. They expressed their interest in entering the Egyptian market and participating in the development projects taking place across the country.
Discussing Potential Areas of Cooperation
The meeting also discussed a number of potential cooperation opportunities in urban projects and the preparation of strategic master plans for major developments, contributing to sustainable development efforts and supporting the Egyptian state’s goals for urban development and improving quality of life.

For his part, the representative of Malcolm Reading Consultants expressed the company’s interest in learning more about the investment and development opportunities available in the Egyptian market and exploring areas of cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and its affiliated entities, in light of the major national and development projects Egypt has witnessed in recent years.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue communication and prepare a number of proposals for development and urban projects in the North Coast and Red Sea regions, while benefiting from the company’s international expertise in this regard, in support of Egypt’s efforts to achieve sustainable urban development and maximize the benefits of the promising investment potential in these areas.
