Dubai-based hospitality company Jumeirah Group announced the launch of its newest top-notch hotel Jumeirah Nanjing in the capital of China’s eastern province of Jiangsu, capturing Nanjing’s blend of traditional and cosmopolitan style, Invest-Gate reports.
Situated on the banks of the city’s Yangtze River, the luxury hotel is located in the North Tower of the International Youth Cultural Center (IYCC) of the Hexi New District. The district features iconic architecture created by architecture and design legend Zaha Hadid, Jumeirah said in a statement on September 18.
Commenting on the news, Jumeirah Group’s CEO José Silva said “Jumeirah Nanjing is a stunning addition to our portfolio and we are exceedingly proud to be selected as guardians of such a significant property.”
The hotel “represents a significant milestone in achieving our global expansion strategy,” Silva highlighted, adding that Jumeirah Nanjing would be “a remarkable destination” that is likely to support and boost the city’s tourism.
Jumeirah Nanjing, which offers 212 rooms and 49 suites as well as an array of dining experiences, adds to the firm’s 22 luxurious hotels and resorts worldwide, in addition to its five properties in Europe and two in Asia with 18 properties currently under construction around the globe.
The Emirati group is planning to launch more properties in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in China and Bali.
