Arab Contractors Awarded USD 43 mn Road Project in Uganda

Arab Contractors Company Chairman Mohsen Salah said the company has been awarded the renewal and development process of Masaka-Bukakata Road in southern Uganda, Invest-Gate reports.

The total cost of the project is valued at USD 54 mn, with the renewal and development process to be executed within 24 months, according to an official statement released on September 19.

Awarded by Uganda National Roads Authority, the 42-kilometer road project is 100 kilometers away from the Ugandan capital, Kampala.

Salah revealed “Arab Contractors is executing many infrastructure projects in Uganda; the prominent one is the development and modernization of the Dirt Road with a length of 67 kilometers, and 200 kilometers away from Kampala,” adding that the company is handling “another road project with a length of 44 kilometers in addition to the drainage and industrial works along the road with a total cost of USD 133 mn.”
