The 11th edition of Cityscape will be covering the entirety of the venue, with an area of over 23,000 sqm. In this regard, Invest-Gate sits with Robier Danial, Cityscape Exhibition Manager, shedding light on a series of challenges from various sectors affecting the Egyptian real estate arena such as growth expectations for FY 2022/2023, inflation, global crises, currency devaluation, and the macroeconomic policies that have had a massive impact on Egypt’s real estate industry and overall financial stability.
- What does Cityscape offer this year to Egyptian developers and homebuyers?
The 2022 edition is exceptional as it offers more than 70 developers, making it the largest edition for the Cityscape. We are proud of having the largest edition this year in Egypt. Cityscape is considered the biggest exhibition across the region, the Middle East, and Africa.
- How do you evaluate the Egyptian real estate market in 2022?
The real estate market faced many challenges during 2022. But the market looks positive as it witnessed improvements across the year. I see that Egypt’s real estate market looks promising. I also advise homebuyers and the exhibition visitors to visit the exhibition website to have a look on the exhibitors’ list and identify their goals. We have a total of four halls this year combining leading developers in the market. Additionally, homebuyers have to set their goals, locations they want to invest in, and locations they want to buy from. The offered projects cover almost 90% of the country, varying from New Cairo and Zayed, in addition to new cities such as North Coast, New Alamein and Sokhna. The 2022 edition meets all customers’ needs with different budgets.
- How do you foresee its performance in 2023?
Egypt’s real estate market is expected to see a better performance in 2023, with a positive and promising outlook. We are also ambitious that the Egyptian market will overcome all the economic obstacles.
