It is considered the most important and largest entertainment event in Egypt and the Middle East, with many viewing New Alamein City as the future of Egypt’s tourism and urban development.

In its second edition, the festival carries the slogan “The World is Alamein,” becoming a global icon that everyone has been talking about. This follows the phenomenal success of the previous edition. In its current second edition, it has captured the world’s attention with its entertainment, tourism, and sports content, along with massive real estate projects by the government and real estate development companies.

New Alamein City: A Major Leap in the Tourism and Real Estate Sectors

New Alamein is one of the fourth-generation eco-friendly cities with a unique strategic location. It includes tourist and industrial zones and hotels that rival and surpass global cities on all levels. It aims to be an investment hotspot, including in both real estate and tourism.

Furthermore, New Alamein City and its annual summer festival have significantly contributed to a major leap in the tourism and real estate sectors and, subsequently, the national economy. The variety of hotels and beaches, among the best in the world, has greatly helped stimulate tourism from East Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Arab world.

The New Alamein Festival has actively promoted New Alamein City as a tourist destination, attracting tourists and investors. It is a significant strategic marketing tool for the city, allowing visitors to familiarize themselves with its various projects.

The New Alamein Festival: More Than Just an Entertainment Event

The New Alamein Festival 2024 is not limited to entertainment; it supports many other significant goals, including promoting investment in the North Coast.

According to Ashraf Salman, Chairman of United Media Services, “Investments in New Alamein City exceed EGP 185 bn, aiming to house 3 million people as part of the geographic expansion away from centralization. It is part of a series of new cities along the Mediterranean coast in the northwestern coast.”

Additionally, the festival creates significant job opportunities among individuals, companies, and various sectors. Mona Abel-Wahab, the festival’s official spokesperson, said, “Over 50 Egyptian companies and 50,000 Egyptian workers were involved in the second edition of the New Alamein Festival, from planning, thinking, building, and final touches.”

Real Estate and Economic Returns of the Festival:

The monumental accomplishments of the Egyptian state in New Alamein City needed marketing to yield positive results on the Egyptian economy.

Accordingly, the idea behind the New Alamein Festival as an effective marketing strategy was to fuel an influx of visitors from all over the Arab world to see the significant achievements on Egyptian soil and promote it globally, increasing demand for various real estate projects in the area and throughout Egypt.

Moreover, hosting the festival is not an extravagant expense without return. It is expected to attract substantial investments and increase demand for real estate projects, providing a strong boost to the economic growth within the state. Among the most important returns:

Attracting Global Attention: The festival’s activities positively impact the marketing of New Alamein City globally, turning it into an important tourist destination on the Mediterranean coast through various sports events, including beach volleyball, parachute jumping competitions, aircraft shows, triathlon competitions, the Arab Judo Championship, the Egypt International Car Racing Championship, and jet ski competitions.

On the sidelines, fashion shows will take place for the first time on the Mediterranean beach, along with coastal rowing competitions, attracting global attention to New Alamein City and placing it prominently on the global tourism map.

Increasing Foreign Inflows: The large number of visitors expected to visit Egypt during the festival’s activities is expected to significantly increase foreign spending in Egypt.

Boosting Investment in Real Estate Projects: The festival represents a great opportunity to enhance tourism and investment in Egypt, boosting the Egyptian real estate market, revitalizing the local real estate market, and increasing its export volume by attracting many Arab tourists and Egyptians residing abroad, learning about the city’s various projects, and attracting investment opportunities, thereby enhancing the private sector and contributing to local economic development.

Increasing Hotel Occupancy Rates: The presence of the New Alamein Festival is likely to significantly increase hotel occupancy rates, potentially reaching 100%, due to the entertainment and artistic performances and numerous sports activities, generating significant positive returns for the tourism sector.

For his part, Mr. Nader Khozam, Chairman and CEO of IL Cazar Developments, stated in exclusive remarks to Invest-Gate that New Alamein City has become a global tourist destination through the largest festival in the Middle East and Alamein Airport.

“Egypt is betting on New Alamein City as a destination with entertainment tourism components, making it an important destination for many Egyptians and tourists. The city reflects how the Egyptian state, under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, transformed the desert into an entertainment oasis and a global tourist destination,” Khozam added.

Also, Khozam stated, “The establishment of New Alamein City is one of the state’s development projects to develop western Egypt and the North Coast, taking advantage of the distinguished location on the Mediterranean coast to achieve integrated development, provide a diverse economic foundation, and support connectivity between the sectors of Borg El Arab, Marsa Matrouh, and Sidi Barani, facilitating the movement of residents and workers and achieving population spread and diverse economic activities in the North Coast.”

Lastly, Khozam emphasized that the private sector’s role in New Alamein City is to provide job opportunities and develop and expand the city in line with the company’s expansions according to state directions.
