There is no doubt that MIPIM 2023 is one of the world’s largest and most important real estate exhibitions, held in Cannes, France. At Schneider Electric, we are proud to participate in this important event to showcase the company’s latest technology solutions directed to the real estate sector and smart cities. Through these solutions, we seek to help developers achieve the highest levels of energy and natural resources efficiency and sustainability as per international standards across smart cities. As part of our participation, we were proudly able to showcase our most prominent projects in partnership with several major real estate developers in Egypt, which align with the state’s strategy to support the expansion of new smart cities and the growth of the Egyptian real estate sector.

We were thrilled to see several representatives from Schneider Electric’s global leadership team actively participating in panel discussions during the exhibition. These sessions tackled a number of important topics in the sector including “COP27 the way forward” and “Delivering sustainable growth at scale” sessions. These sessions addressed the efforts of the Egyptian state to create an infrastructure to keep pace with the expansion of new cities, with the participation of Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of the Administrative Capital Company, and several CEOs of major Egyptian real estate developers, along with Schneider Electric representatives and international experts. The participants in these sessions exchanged experiences and opinions with the aim to present a sustainable vision that can support the growth of this vital sector in Egypt and across the world, and share the most prominent successful case studies in this field.

Moreover, we hosted a dinner reception on the sidelines of the exhibition which saw the attendance of representatives of leading local and regional real estate companies, specifically from the Gulf area, to discuss potential growth and expansion opportunities in the Egyptian and regional markets. A senior delegation from Schneider Electric was present during the reception including Manish Kumar, Executive Vice President of Digital Energy; Estelle Monod, Senior Vice President, Building Segments, and a number of representatives of the Schneider Electric management teams from the Middle East and Africa Zone, and Northeast Africa and Levant Cluster that includes Egypt.

Achieving sustainable development in all economic, social and environmental dimensions is a top priority for the Egyptian state and Egypt’s Vision 2023. In line with the state’s direction, Schneider Electric is keen on providing its latest smart city management solutions through the EcoStruxure ™ digital platform. This platform combines technology solutions, advanced operations, and the latest information technology applications to achieve the highest levels of energy and natural resource efficiency. It helps maintenance and operation officials and utility and electrical engineers monitor and manage critical infrastructure facilities using the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing, enabling them to manage sustainable infrastructure systems, facilities, and future cities in Egypt.

Schneider Electric’s digital solutions and applications help manage electricity, water and natural gas systems, data centers, traffic, security, monitoring systems, and control centers within urban communities. We also provide an integrated system for building management, a data center, sensors, smart metering devices, a central system for batteries, charging stations for electric cars, an AC rectifier, solar energy generating systems, and an integrated fire alarm system. The rationalization of energy and water consumption and facilities management within cities is no longer a luxury provided by real estate developers to their clients; it has become a necessity to enhance their living experience, help to rationalize their expenses, achieve sustainability and protect the environment.
