10,616 Additional Dar Misr Units to be Provided for Previous Applicants

The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities will deliver 10,616 additional housing units through the Dar Misr project for applicants who did not acquire units in the previous two phases, Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly said, Invest Gate reported.

The remaining units in each area  can be acquired from the Housing and Development Bank Branches after booking the units with a down-payment payment. Booking began on September 4.

The ministry also stated that the remaining units are in New Cairo, Badr, Sadat, 15th of May, and 6th of October cities, as well as New Borg El Arab and the 10th of Ramadan district. This is in addition to the remaining units on the ground and top floors of buildings in cities such as Sheikh Zayed, Shorouk, Obour, New Damietta, and New Minya.

“The size of the units ranges from 115 to 150 square meters,” stated Tarek Sabaey, the Supervisor of the Commercial Real Estate Affairs Department at the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).

Sabaey added that the applicant should be one of those who previously applied in the first and second phase and did not succeed in receiving a unit through public lottery.

The applicants who applied in the areas of New Cairo, Shorouk City, Obour City, and Sheikh Zayed can change the units they have previously selected other ones in 6th of  October, Badr, 15th of May, Sadat, and 10th of Ramadan cities.

The modified application should include a copy of the receipt and the national ID to be submitted to the bank from October 16-30.

A public lottery will be held for applicants who changed their previous locations, and winners will have their units allocated for them according to the number of the currently available units offered.
