112,000 Acres Offered in Public Tender Next Month

A total of 112,000 acres from the 1.5 million acres land reclamation project will be offered next month, announced the CEO of New Egyptian Countryside Development (NECD), according to Amwal Al Ghad.

The announcements were made during a meeting conducted by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, and attended by the ministers of planning, and water resources and irrigation, as well as representatives of several bodies, reported Daily News Egypt.

Egypt is taking the necessary measures towards issuing land to execute different projects across various sectors, including projects in agriculture, industry, and aquaculture manufacturing, and logistics, said Hossam El Kawish, the official spokesperson for the Cabinet.

The 1.5 million acre reclamation project aims to develop desert areas located outside the Nile Valley and Delta areas, targeting the attraction of local and foreign investments, said El Kawish.

The project is one of the most important large-scale development projects to add value to the nation, said El Kawish.
