Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, has stated that there is a tremendous demand on reserving the 125,000 fully finished housing units, Invest-gate reports.
The units are a part of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund (SHMFF), for low and middle-income segments, as part of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s initiative “Housing For All Egyptians.”, according to an official statement on November 16.
The Minister of Housing further says, “We have received 160,000 applications in four days only. We print large numbers of brochures to provide every citizen, who wishes to book,” stressing the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures to confront the Coronavirus.
On her part, Mai Abdel Hamid, head of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund (SHMFF ) says, “More than serious 26,000 citizens have paid their reservation in advance,” confirming that the door for reservation and payment will continue until December 7.
