6th of October City Authority Wins Best Project Award in National Green Initiative

The 6th of October City Authority won an award for the best-distinguished project in the field of sewage treatment in Giza Governorate, under the category of large projects in the second edition of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, Invest-Gate reports.

In a statement, the 6th of October City Authority explained that the initiative witnessed competition from around 137 projects in Giza Governorate, out of which 14 projects met the requirements set by the organizing committee and the regulations established to achieve sustainable development.

The 6th of October City project was recognized as the best smart green project in water and sewage treatment.

Moreover, the authority added in its statement that this achievement comes in implementing the government’s directives and efforts to achieve sustainable development in the context of Egypt’s Vision 2030. This is in addition to preserving the environment to improve the quality of life and considering the rights of future generations, as well as implementing the National Strategy to Address Climate Change by 2050.

It is worth mentioning that the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects has been implemented nationwide as a pioneering initiative in sustainable and smart development, dealing with the environmental dimension and the impacts of climate change.

This is achieved by mapping green smart projects at the governorate level and attracting the necessary investments.
